Resources for Students, Parents, and the NT Community During the COVID-19 Pandemic


Academic assistance

  • COVID Tutor has free virtual tutoring services for students from grades 9-12.
  • Khan Academy is an organization which provides digital lessons on many high school courses, including several APs and SAT prep. They are currently providing webinars and academic schedules to help structure the school day.
  • Kaplan is currently providing virtual ACT and SAT prep courses, as well as free practice tests and occasional test review webinars.
  • Everydae SAT Prep is an online SAT math prep program, 100% free while schools are closed.
  • Varsity Tutors provides students with 20 hours of free live, online instruction each week, including SAT and ACT courses.

Financial assistance

  • Unemployment benefits/insurance is available for those affected by the COVID-19 virus.
  • The District Financial Assistance Program includes Fee Waiver, Transportation Waiver, Textbook Loan Program, and the Free/Reduced Lunch Program. Please contact Athena Arvanitis, Assistant Principal at [email protected] to apply for financial assistance.
  • New Trier Township provides financial assistance and a Food Bank.
