The New Trier News believes that the paper, whether in print or in a digital format, serves as an important historical artifact of the school. When students, faculty and staff go on the record, it is one of the major pillars of fairness, accuracy, and journalistic integrity. Any request to alter or delete an article will be taken seriously and carefully considered. The two most significant criteria would be the safety of an individual named or depicted in the article or the accuracy of the information in the article. We take what we do seriously, and carefully weigh the consequences of a published article on a person with its historical value as well as the precedent set for simply removing or altering the work of a student.
