Black History Month Photo a Day: Wednesday, February 10th

Submitted by McKenzie Morrell, Support Staff This image in particular shows how much power, courage, resolve, and resilience it must of took to sit there at the Woolworth counter and not succumb to emotion or violence. These activists had to train themselves not to physically fight back. A lot of people didn’t make it through the trainings. I think about them a lot and if I could do that. I don’t think I could. Look at that picture. Look at the hate and anger from that crowd of white men. Could you sit there?
