“Agatha All Along” is the sequel to the Marvel TV series “WandaVision.” This show follows Agatha Harkness, a 400-year-old witch who was one of the main antagonists in the original series.
At the end of “WandaVision,” Wanda takes away all of Agatha’s power and puts her under a spell for three years before a mysterious teenager waltzes into her life and frees her. As “Agatha All Along” progresses, we get a history of the teenager, Agatha’s past and why she has killed so many people, and perhaps even a hint to another sequel series.
Each episode weaves together the web of character backstories, contributing to the show’s complexity. To summarize the beginning of the show, Teen asks Agatha for help crossing The Witches Road, which ultimately grants the person who completes it anything they want. They have to collect a coven (one witch for each specific type of witchcraft such as potions or divination).Unfortunately for the group, a group of witches called the Salem Seven are out to kill Agatha, making their journey much more deadly than it already is. Through acts of secrets and betrayals, The Road is merciless to its participants, leaving many dead and more wishing they were.
This show left me with a complex combination of emotions , leaving me shocked at every plot twist and counting down the seconds for the next episode. Nothing can compare to the impact “WandaVision” had on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but this show superseded my expectations—especially after the phenomenon that was “WandaVision”—with some of my favorite actors and actresses such as Aubrey Plaza and Joe Locke having key roles in the show’s plot.
I recommend watching the original series “WandaVision” first. Many aspects and characters have been directly affected by the events of it, and watching it beforehand answers many questions for the viewer.
