I was immediately excited to watch season two of “Wednesday” after waiting for so long after watching the engaging end of season one when Wednesday’s fate was still a mystery. Season one had me on the edge of my seat at the end of each episode, waiting to see how each mystery would be solved. In season one, a great job was done with involving characters in the storyline in a small way and then revealing how they were actually involved in a bigger way later in the season. I hoped to see more of this build-up and more in the new season. Season two lived up to and exceeded my expectations, especially with the evolution of Enid and Wednesday’s relationship.
Season two was split into two parts, the first being released on Aug. 6, 2025, and the second part being released on Sept. 3, 2025. The decision to split the season into two parts was a great one because when part two was released, I got very excited to continue watching right where I had left off, not wanting to miss a second more of this action-packed show.
Season two starts off focused on the Addams Family as Wednesday and Pugsley are getting ready to start the new school year back at Nevermore. Part one is more focused on setting up the storyline and introducing the viewers to all the new characters that will be important later in part two. Part two, on the other hand, is surprising with new relationships between characters and discoveries of others’ unknown pasts.
All of season two was exhilarating and filled with mystery. Not a single character’s story was wasted and everyone had an important role to play. From the mystery of the new music teacher to the confusing relationship between Tyler and Wednesday, every character this season was important. Each character had their own development and was also incorporated into the plot.
I loved seeing the evolutions of Enid and Wednesday’s friendship, and I can’t wait to see how the writers and directors will continue to handle it as they grow. It was inspiring to see how this season, Wednesday was able to crack a little and show her empath side when it comes to Enid.
The special effects were especially good this season, particularly for the CGI used to create the Hydes and the wolves. Compared to season one, I felt that more effects were used more often and had more of an impact in season two. In season one when I first saw the effects used for the Hyde, I was amazed. It was even more rewarding when the Hydes were used more this season and with the addition of Enid as a wolf as well.
Overall, I highly recommend watching season two of “Wednesday.” It has a similar suspense level to other crime-solving shows like “High Potential” and “Will Trent.” Every episode was just as exciting as the next, if not more with new storylines jumping out every second. It seemed as if every episode didn’t just continue what happened the previous episodes, but it also created the perfect amount of anticipation and thrilling content to keep viewers engaged.
