Pollution Emission from Transportation
Transportation includes highway vehicles, aircraft, ships, boats, rail, and pipelines
The transportation sector contributes to 29% of anthropogenic greenhouse gas (GHG) emission in the United States. According to the Inventory of U.S. Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Sinks (1990-2019), cars, trucks, commercial aircraft, and railroads, among other sources, all contribute to transportation end-use sector emissions.
