The girls rowing team splashed out of Scholastic Nationals with two boats medaling first and two others finishing fifth. The first varsity finished fifth, the second varsity boat finished first, the lightweight eight boat finished fifth, and the freshmen boat finished first in their respective categories.

“The most miraculous thing was the support that the team showed even if they didn’t make it to nationals or finals. I think that the motivating and supportive atmosphere is something that is really unique for this team this year. It was a great season overall,’’ said Senior Emmy Swift, a rower on the second varsity boat.

The first varsity and the lightweight eight are currently training for Youth Nationals in Oakridge, Tennessee.
